Wieland Vogel (the Netherlands,1980) graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2007, department ‘Man and Living’ headed by Gijs Bakker, Hella Jongerius and Jurgen Bey.
He graduated with a chandelier called ‘Aureool aka Halo’ and Li Edelkoort was his first sale, a good start. Among other projects many more followed and have been acquired by private customers and collectors worldwide and have been shown at international fairs and exhibitions. An important part of the education is as an intern. Wieland completed his internship at product designer Piet Hein Eek and jewerly designer Ted Noten. Among others he worked as a freelancer for Maarten Baas, Kiki van Eijk & Joost van Bleiswijk and Sebastian Brajkovic, but most important he is a independant designer and artist.

Vision

Wielands storytelling designs are honest, refined and show the beauty of construction. His work answers to an inner necessity to give birth to objects with character.
